  • At Studio Vara, we prioritise clinical outcomes and consider both pre- and post-treatment care essential parts of your session.

    If you arrive late, we’ll do our best to provide the most effective treatment within the time remaining. However, please note that your session may be shortened to ensure the next client’s appointment is not impacted.

  • Your appointment includes time for a pre-treatment assessment, along with post-treatment note taking to support your ongoing care.

    Treatments are typically performed with clients down to their undergarments; however, your comfort and privacy are always prioritised. You will be professionally draped at all times, with only the area being treated exposed.

    Your therapist will use a tailored combination of evidence-informed techniques, which may include:

    Soft tissue release

    Trigger point therapy

    Myofascial release

    Stretching

    Cupping therapy

    Hot and cold applications

    All treatments are guided by your health history, presentation on the day, and what feels right for your body.

  • At Studio Vara, we accept payment via cash and EFTPOS, including American Express.
    We do not offer AfterPay or ZipPay as payment options.

    We offer HICAPS facilities for on-the-spot private health insurance claiming.
    Please check with your health fund prior to your appointment to confirm your level of cover, and ensure you bring your physical card or have your fund’s app ready to claim at the time of payment.

    There are no additional surcharges for appointments booked after hours or on Saturdays.

  • To secure your appointment, a 50% deposit is now required for all online bookings — this applies to both new and existing clients.

  • Please arrive a few minutes early to complete a brief health intake form and to discuss your treatment goals with your therapist.

    If you arrive late, we’ll do our best to provide an effective treatment within the remaining time. However, your session may be shortened to ensure the next client is not impacted.

  • Studio Vara operates from a professionally appointed residential space. Parking is available in the driveway or directly out front.

  • The studio entrance includes two single steps, which may present challenges for wheelchair users or those with prams.

    Please don’t hesitate to contact us prior to your appointment — we’ll do our best to accommodate your needs and ensure your visit is as comfortable as possible.

    Bathroom facilities are available on-site for client use.

  • Cancellations – More Than 24 Hours’ Notice


    If you’re unable to attend your appointment, please notify us by phone

    If you have pre-paid for your appointment online, a credit will be issued for the full value of the service. This credit is valid for 12 months and is non-transferable.

    Cancellations – Within 24 Hours


    Out of respect for our time and other clients, we require at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations.

    Cancellations made within 24 hours of your scheduled appointment — unless due to circumstances beyond your reasonable control — will incur a cancellation fee of up to 100% of the booked service.

    If you have pre-paid, we reserve the right to retain the full amount. If payment has not yet been made, the cancellation fee will be payable within 7 days of notice. Additional administrative or collection costs may also apply and will be added to the total amount due.

    Please note: we are unable to offer future bookings while any outstanding fees remain unpaid. Private health insurers and third-party payers do not cover cancellation fees or associated charges.

  • If you do not attend your appointment and we are unable to fill the time, 100% of the service fee will be charged. If pre-paid, the full amount will be retained as the cancellation fee.

  • At Studio Vara, your safety, trust, and comfort are our highest priorities.

    We are qualified, professional therapists providing strictly therapeutic, non-sexual treatments. Any inappropriate behaviour, comments, or advances will result in the immediate termination of the session. The full cost of the appointment will still apply.

    Clients are required to wear undergarments during all treatments. Failure to comply will result in the session being cancelled.

    We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for any behaviour that compromises the safety, wellbeing, or professionalism of our therapists or clients.

    Our therapists reserve the right to refuse or discontinue treatment at any time if a client’s behaviour is inappropriate, threatening, or disrespectful.

    We also honour the importance of consent and communication throughout your treatment. You're encouraged to speak up at any time — whether it’s about pressure, positioning, or your comfort level. This is your space, and we are here to support you.
